Parthenon Capital FT 2026

Would love to hear thoughts on the Analyst program, upward mobility, and culture.

Also, would greatly appreciate any insights into the LBO case study round. Is it your common IB/PE paper LBO or more of a consulting case?

BTW: I’ve interviewed with the firm and have a few friends who work there, so that’s where this info comes from. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong or missing anything.

Fund Performance: They’ve had top-quartile returns and have been recognized for some of the best performance in the space—especially with their most recent vintage. That success helped them raise a ~$4.5B oversubscribed fund. They seem like a rising star.

Mobility: The analyst program is designed to promote internally to associate. You don’t need an MBA to move up, which is a big plus. Obviously, you still need to perform, but the path is there to build a real career.

Strategy: They take a focused, growth-oriented approach—really go deep in specific sectors and build true expertise. That’s a key differentiator, especially since a lot of firms now are more generalist and will look at anything.

Culture: Seems like a good culture. Everyone I’ve talked to has been sharp, driven, and kind. Hours seem pretty standard for PE.

Analyst Program: From what I’ve heard, most of the work is on new deals and portco initiatives—very little sourcing. Analysts seem to come in with strong backgrounds.

Exit Ops: From a quick LinkedIn search, people have exited to other strong MM, UMM, and MF roles. So exits seem solid.

Comp: I’ve heard total comp is in line with what you’d expect at a BB IB analyst role.

Interview Process: From what I’ve heard, the process is fairly competitive. It typically includes a few case studies, an LBO modeling test, behaviorals, and accounting/valuation technicals. I’d definitely prep for all of that. Not totally sure how the process is structured, but that’s what friends have told me.

Overall: If you know you want to do PE and are looking for a firm with real upward mobility, strong fund performance, and an actual investing strategy (not just financial engineering or roll-ups), this could be a great fit. If you’re still unsure about PE, then IB might give you more flexibility.

Curios to see others thoughts.

The goal of their associate hiring is more so to promote to senior associate and then to VP for top performers not have the associates exit, rest is correct.
