PE Client Solutions

I am finishing my MSc in Finance in Europe I have a couple of interviews and one of them is in client solutions for a large European  PE fund. I am not really sure what they do aside from keeping in contact with clients or trying to sell new funds. Also, I am not sure how to prepare for this kind of interviews and what am I supposed to know. Any advice is more than welcome.

I have been trying to get any internship/graduate position in investment as I feel it's important to know the fundamentals first and then move to a more client-facing position. But all the interviews I have no are in wealth management in BB, HF sales, and PE sales. All the interviews I had so far in IB etc were for sales and it was quite obvious I didn't care for the positions.

I think my soft skills are on point for the jobs but I am not sure if going there directly is smart. Let me know your opinions.
