I am trying to make a move from the insurance industry to PE. I have an informational interview this week in Boston at a lower MM buyout and growth capital firm that focuses on the financial services industry. They said they are not currently hiring Associates but I'm hoping they might be able to get me in touch with other PE firms that are hiring, or keep me in mind if they decide to hire in the future.
What should I expect from this meeting and what can I do to make a good impression?

Who are you interviewing with at the fund?
A VP who has been with the firm for 3 years and has previous experience as a PE associate and valuation consulting analyst (according to company website).
