PE MD INTERVIEW - What to Expect?

Hey everyone – so I have an interview with an MD at a UMM PE shop coming up. For context, I went through a couple technical interviews including paper LBO, then went through a 3hr modeling test with a debrief, and have now been scheduled for a 45min interview with an MD.

I imagine this is a later stage interview, and I would just like to know if anyone has any idea of what to expect for the upcoming interview?

Thanks

I think this is the upside scenario! I've also had interviews with MDs (late stage not final round) where they asked me what I think about the field and/or "technical" behavioral, mini case. It could be because I'm a senior analyst recruiting offcycle. Just be prepared

Generally going to be fit focused, as the other poster suggested. Often times is structured as a bit of a "sell" interview and they'll do a lot of the talking (pitching the firm, talking about strategy, etc.). Just try to relax, make good small talk, listen, and ask a couple of insightful questions. Have heard of instances when they spring technicals but that seems to be pretty atypical.
