PE Portco Strategy/Analytics Role Upside?

Hi Guys,

Currently in the process with a PE Portco. Fund is well respected, $10~100B AUM range, but capital raised for Portco is just under $100M. Strat/Analytics role, just under Director, no equity yet (may negotiate).

Target for undergrad, currently at a SaaS unicorn looking to IPO, but considering move because I've taken over multiple roles with limited raises; don't mind my hours, looking to get rewarded better for my work ethic. In my past companies I've always worked longer than required/took on more responsibilities than necessary, figure finance is the best rewarding ecosystem due to this.

Portco is in a non-tech traditional industry and much smaller than mine in terms of revenue, but apparently been exceeding financial goals and in a recession proof industry vs.tech which I think is in for a winter.

Questions:

  • What would my exit opps be for a Strat/Analytics role? Long term goal is CXO
  • Are accelerated promotions (recruiter mentioned sub-2 year) a given?
  • Is the non-equity portion of the role a big red flag? I'm willing to work my way up but want to avoid being 'second fiddle'/'not part of the family' as I hope to jump between Portcos/transition to Ops in the short term

Thanks in advance - any other experiences/advice would be greatly appreciated.
