Post-MBA Blackstone PE at Senior Associate / Principal Levels
Can anyone share any insight and how desirable of a place to work vs. other MFs and UMM opportunities? They seem to recruit very actively out of HSW MBA and seem to take laterals regularly too.
Eh it’s alright I guess, nowhere near the level of Deloitte though
Can anyone speak to senior associate & principal comp?
~$500k cash Sr Associate, not totally sure on carry but would think ~$3-4mm
Interesting - a) that’s actually a discount to other MF firms and b) surprised there isn’t a stock component.
Yeah they have a discount compared to other MFs. There is a stock component at least on a go-forward basis (not sure about first year post-MBA), BX more widely implements a progressive split of cash / stock based on total comp tiers. They also have a really annoying vesting / delivery schedule
So MFs are paying senior associates over 500k cash? Felt high but what do I know
BCP doesn’t have VPs, SA = VP there
But what is it equal to in responsibility or comparability? Like if that kid got a comparable job, would he be a market VP? Or BX both inflating title and comp for these guys?
