recruiting for NYC PE coming from Chicago IB?

Hi everyone,

Would appreciate your insights on the following...

  1. I am at a top MM IB in Chicago. Tech group. However, I want to eventually switch over to NYC PE. Prestige is not super important to me - as long as I'm making competitive pay. How will this process work? I assume recruiting will be trickier given my long hours... are firms understanding of this? No issue using off-cycle recruiting.

  2. When do PE jobs usually start? June/July/August (summer)?

Thank you very much.
