Sageview Capital (Growth Equity) thoughts? (Reputation, comp, culture, Hrs)

I really want to break in as an intern here but super curious what people on the street hear about their comp at Analyst and associate level as well as their culture in terms of hours and sourcing heaviness?

There isn’t so much info on WSO, so would love to hear more! TY!!

Performance wise, they're a pretty middle of the road growth firm. A few good deals, a few headscratchers. If you went there and tried to lateral I think you would get looks most anywhere, but I don't think anybody is saying "shit this guy is from Sageview, he must be a genius."

Culture / work-wise, it's a bit lower-profile relative to peers (being in Connecticut probably helps with that). I'm not fully sure what the junior experience would look like there given 1) they were a lot later than most of their peers on standing up true outbound / proprietary sourcing, and 2) deal cadence is also relatively low for their size (4-5 a year, per website).

Everyone is super nice I've met there. FWIW their founders put in 20% of the fund every time so they're eating their own cooking per say. I also think they're very conservative on their company valuations (i.e. not marking shit to the moon like others).
