Silver Lake - Analyst (London)
Hi everyone,
Does anyone have info on Silver Lake's analyst programme in London? Any info on responsibilities and career progression would be appreciated, i.e. is there a path to promotion for homegrown analysts? How does the position compare in terms of opportunities and potential exits with starting at a top group at GS/MS? What are the pros and cons of focusing on tech early on? I know that SL is a great opportunity in the US, but I'm also still unsure what to think of their European operations.
Thanks!

Are hh's reaching out?
Great program for analysts. If you‘re set on tech, go for it. If not, BB will provide you more flexibility and better network, which is valuable.
At SL you’ll spend a lot of time on portfolio work as an analyst, surely more interesting than an IB job but don‘t expect too much. You’ll work just as much as in banking but SL are paying well.
Who's the HH?

you'll get paid very well particularly as an associate - they pay an american salary in london. if you can survive, you can get promoted. but it's very sweaty. Exit ops will be solid.
