Special Situations Private Equity at an AI Tech Firm?

Hello, I am going through the process for an analyst role at a special sits PE team at an early stage AI tech firm (7-figure ARR). The role is salaried, no stock.

Is anyone familiar with in-house special sits PE? They said the role is not a stable corporate job, so I assume it's not a long-term role. Could I exit to spec sits/ Growth Equity at a more traditional firm after this? Assuming I get transaction experience. 

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
