Sprott Private Credit

Hi guys,

Got solicited a role at Sprott Private Credit for their mining segment, can anyone share what they've heard about this place in terms of culture/dealflow/comp/exit opps/ranking among funds? I'm a junior corporate banker and this would be for an analyst role on their team.

Consider it if you want to specialize in mining. Can't speak to the lending group in particular, but generally they see good flow, one of the first calls our mining bankers make anyway. Sprott brand carries weight in Canadian mining so exit opps shouldn't be bad, though as a sector, options are quite limited. Other thing to consider is royalty/streaming is a pretty active space, so worth considering if its that group.

Not sure if you already cover the sector, but wanted to add that mining is a different beast so seriously consider if that's what you want to jump into.

The streaming fund is separate from the lending fund so if there is no mention of streaming it probably is just the lending side, although, sometimes a small stream/royalty will be considered.

Deal flow is good. Will most likely get exposed to a variety of funds with slightly  different mandates.

Culture is good.

A previous associate got poached from Carlyle for its private credit group in NY.

Other mining private equity funds could be exit ops.
