Starting PE Gig Early

Hi, I want to start my PE Associate program early and was wondering how I should go about asking the PE firm / how my request will be perceived by the PE firm.

For context, I am an A2A promote at a BB and will be receiving my associate stub bonus in March 2025. Ideally I would be able to start at the PE shop in March 2025 shortly after receiving my stub bonus. The firm I'm joining is a MM/UMM firm and there is one other Associate that I saw on their website who started early (similar situation to the one I'm - i.e., A2A leaving after 2.5 years of banking).

Would greatly appreciate any thoughts / opinions on messaging. Thanks!
