Stuck in Power and Energy PE? (Repost)

Currently in a MM industry-specific boutique firm in the power and energy space.

Are my PE exits going to be limited to only infra/power/energy PE firms? I've also heard though that because this modeling is some of the hardest it's a desirable skill to be good at and that you could go to any coverage sector, so pivot would be possible when going to PE.

Thoughts on if I'm stuck in this sector forever or if when I recruit for PE can I do tech or consumer etc.
