Student-Athlete Questions for Former MD?

Hi everyone, happy Friday.

I am a freshman student-athlete at a semi-target and my football coach set up all of the freshman with a "mentor." All the mentors are also previous athletes at the school and I was assigned a former MD at Carlyle. Anyways, I have a zoom meeting scheduled with him this coming week and I don't really know what I should be asking him. Obviously we will connect on a more personal level by talking about football since he was a football player too, but aside from talking about football, I don't know what to ask/say.

Do I need to ask anything specific about PE or will just connecting more personally be ok for our first meeting?

I am obviously new to something like this and wanted to see if you guys could help. I seriously appreciate any help/suggestions!

Thanks!
