Switching to Asset Management

Hi fellow monkeys,

I am considering to move from the independent sponsor I’ve been working at for 5+ years to the private market side of a large asset management firm in Switzerland.

The main things that attracts me are the usual stuff of structured organisation in terms of training, systems, etc.

The flip-side would be being a passive investor, no carry and less flexible working environment.

Still have to look for actual jobs but not sure I worth embarking on this.

Does it sound like a good idea? Any direct experience of working within such kind of firms?
