Thank you letter after interview but he did not came

I had an interview with the team yesterday. One senior person could not come due to the time conflict. Should I send him a thank you note? What should I say to this thank you note?

don't send a thank you letter to the guy. you could if you really wanted to send a note saying that you regret not having the chance to meet him and that if he's ever available to catch up you'd love to chat
