Top Recruiter in PE contacted me, not returning my calls or email

A Managing Director of a top PE Recruiting company in NYC contacted me about 3 weeks ago and asked if we could connect by phone. She added that they were working on a search in a certain sector and wanted us to discuss this. I was so thrilled when she reached out to me but all changed when I called both of the contact numbers she gave me as my calls were not returned. Later I sent her an email asking her to let me know when we could talk. I have not gotten a reply to the email. I have zero experience in Investment Banking, have two years experience in retail banking (abroad), with an advanced degree from nontarget. The sector she's looking to recruit in is related to my degree. Have studied IB on my own, familiar with all chapters in Rosenbaum, feel good with the technicals and think could do well if given an on-paper modeling test. I should add that I will need Visa Sponsorship to work here (USA) though I doubt she knows this. I'm now wondering what happened; did she change her mind? Is there any hope? Should I keep calling or drop her another email? Worried sick!
