Had a mid-level PE client get $20k this summer to relocate to a tier 1 city. It wasn’t offered with the initial package, but it was negotiated. Also had a banking associate client get $20k to relocate from a tier 1 to a tier 2 city. Again, negotiated.

Depends on the level, your negotiating leverage, the timing of the relocation (asap versus in a few months), etc.

Like most negotiations, you need to have a defensible ask backed by reasonable rationale and then take it from there.
