Update on Nautic Partners?

Got inbounded about an opportunity there. Any updated views on them (culture, performance, comp, location/commute)? Looks like they’re currently in market trying to raise a fund larger than their current one, which is ~$3B. Post-MBA / VP context.

Are they still looking for VP? Have heard they were looking a few months ago

Not sure how their most recent fund returns are as they’ve started to move upmarket, but know they’ve done very well for themselves particularly in healthcare. Funds were top quartile then but that was as of a few years ago. Also think the people there seemed generally nice. Know a con is location as they are based in RI

ignore title, vp2 in pe. mid shop with ok wlb at vp level+; issues with senior level though in terms of culture and bonus discretion. pm for more info

Great growing fund; has grown steadily to 4.5bn now. The big downside is that they are located in Providence, but think that is doable living in Boston. They grew 1.5x from fund X, and for fund X they 2x fund size from fund IX. Not many growing ~5bn+ funds out there. The commute seems pretty brutal, but up to you if the strong trajectory is worth it.
