Upper MM PE Prestige

I think we all need to come together on this topic. The notion that people regard something like Veritas or AEA in a similar light to KKR or BX is insane. What have we come to? A gold plated resume like GS —-> KKR should be way more valued than something like Tier 2 bank to Tier 3 PE firm (think Veritas or Crestview). I was under the impression that prestige is sacred and not to be diluted but from my time on the street it feels like those days are behind us. Thoughts? Would anybody here take an Upper MM (think Veritas / TJC) job over a top tier MF?

Yeah this is a huge problem, we need to protect the sanctity of MF prestige before people start thinking we're just like Big 4 FDD...are you kidding me, give me a break OP
