Vista...I'm Stressing

Didn't do too well on the ccat (like 39-42/50) but speaking with some senior heads (Partner) at the firm who might be able to pull for me and applied with a referral. Was wondering whether I can network out of a lower score or if I'm genuinely fried for SA

Nobody expects a 50/50 on the CCAT; and the way it's evalauted is more of a check-the-box excercise instead of people grading you people based on score. The average score is 24 for the test FYI with a standard deviation of 8. If you don't move on, it's not because of the CCAT if you got a 42 or even 39, as those are 2 standard deviations higher than the average (97.5%+). At a top UMM that also uses the CCAT, and we just use it as a pure check-the-box thing to move on canidates; not sure any canidates get out by the CCAT at the associate level. The stuff you read online from these job prep websites are all scams to get you to buy their IQ-test prep wrapper of a service.

You seem to be overstressing yourself, in my opinion. That score isn't flawless, but it's also not terrible especially considering that you have some senior support and a referral.  At this point, the test may not be as important as how you interact with others and demonstrate interest. You're not out at all, in my opinion. Don't let the score undermine your confidence; just continue networking.
