What is the best move to PE? (3 years as CPA Big4 -> Corporate Strategy at Big4 --> Hoping to get into PE)

Moved to Toronto to get into banking, used the Big4 CPA as a way to get transferred to the big city. Interested in finance continued to grow but ended up getting a pretty cool strategy job come up unexpected that I gave a shot.

After about 2 years in the role, I want to move from the advisory side to more execution and get back on track to working with investments / finance. I'm really attracted to the PE model, and dedicated to making the move into PE.

I see my options as 1. Join MBB (PIPE group) 2. Ibanking Analyst 3. Bschool 4. Push for PE Analyst position now

I've been prepping for MBB interviews, and wondering if my time is better spent practicing modelling and networking with PE.

Thoughts?
