What keeps your fire burning?

Hey guys:

I've been working for 5+ years, currently at a T2 PE firm - I am passionate about investing, but lately, I've been feeling kind of un-motivated. Whereas 2 years ago I'd jump into any name/CIM I get, now I feel a bit jaded. Part of it is likely related to the culture of my current place (no strong investment culture, mostly politics, stagnant growth but has job stability due to a variety of reasons such as geography etc.). I do not feel motivated to work (the people are meh, and not intellectually stiumulating), but I recognize it is still a decent job and my work ethics keeps me going...

Question to you guys esp those who have worked a long time - what keeps your fire burning? Everyone is bound to have eks and flows in how they feel about their career, I think. Thanks!
