What PE firms are are good for me if I want to get lots of operational experience?
I'm trying to gauge which PE firms I would be a good fit for as I begin thinking about on cycle. I want to be at a firm that prioritizes getting experience with PortCos and being able to work in a CorpDev/CorpStrat capacity along with my PE responsibilities.
Are there firms out there that match this description? I've just began to dive into researching and would appreciate any insight, thanks!
Not going to be the huge megafunds - if you want some operational experience, you're going to find much more of that in the middle market (which largely are not running on-cycle recruiting processes).
