When/how often do you go to the gym in PE?

Incoming Summer Associate at a PE firm known for very sweaty hours. I usually hit the gym 6x a week in the mornings but obviously expect I'll have less time/opportunity to do so during the summer and full time. How often a week do you get to go to the gym, and when during the day? I'm sure I'll get more firm-local guidance once I hit the desk but just want to get a guestimate beforehand. Thanks!

I'm in the gym at least 5-6x per week, 45 min sessions. Sometimes in at 7am, other times after 10pm. You have to make the time if it matters to you.

You go when you can dip out. I started doing a lot more yoga (the generally athletic classes that keep you bendy but strong enough you can do handstands and work up your heart rate). They also force you off your phone for 45 minutes. You should know how the deal is going whether or not you can actually take 45 minutes, you can more often than you think unless you're like two weeks from closing or a couple days before IC. Other than that I try to run a lot more because you can say "I am literally away from my computer and it will take me 15 minutes to get back". Just go run around the neighborhood, not ideal but gets you some separation. When it's really slow around dinner you can skip out for 45 minutes or an hour but always be prepared to bring your laptop with you or go back soon. Dinner is usually good because your MD is pretending he has a family life around then. I also constantly schedule physical therapy because that's a legitimate excuse to not be at work and also helps you feel good. Lifting kind of fell by the wayside - I still looked good during PE and lifted 1-2x per week enough to stay big enough. In general I'd say learn how to sneak out because you won't have the pre-PE schedule to rely on and don't expect to have consistent routines you progress on, just figure out how to stay in good shape and feel good.
