Working professionals who don't drink, how does this affect your work life in the industry?

For those who don't drink alcohol, how are happy hours (are they awkward)? Are you perceived differently in the office? Have you noticed any downsides from this decision in an industry full of those who do and where it is truthfully idolized?

Don't make a big deal/be conspicuous about it. Drink mixer-only mixed drinks (ask for it in the same glass they serve the actual cocktails in). Tip bartenders so they're happy to serve you non-revenue drinks.

If your group isn't a bunch of assholes they won't make a big deal about it. You can still be social/"go out for drinks" without drinking alcohol. I have worked with observant Mormons/Muslims and no one said anything as long as you're still being social.
