A friend questioned the investment process and was canned
What about it did they question?
Main partner had final say and was a mercenary. Had final say about everything and everyone else worked for him not with him
Sounds like a terrible place to work. How'd he go about it, just simply canned him one day or did he have some behind the scene harassment campaign going on, too?
Might be missing something here, but isn't that just how a CEO/Head of Sector works? I feel like most places will have one ultimate decision-maker making the final call on everything.
Firing someone just for raising concerns about this is a dick move, sure, but not sure what he was questioning in the first place?
Main Partner probably thinks he’s the main character
Associate in an other European office complained about hours to seniors and got fired over the next weeks. Was quite surprising as we do have a good culture and nobody expected such a dick move.
Associate who was moving on in a few months had to do the entire annual meeting deck and then wasn't allowed to travel to the actual annual meeting, which was at a cool destination. Had to dial in while everyone else at the firm went. Fielded all kinds of last minute comments, etc.
