Worth switching from consulting to investment banking, to exit into PE?
I am planning to pivot from consulting into private equity, and I am wondering: is it worth applying to investment banking first in order to maximize my chances?
Currently have 10 months of experience at T2 consulting firm with lots of PE transaction experience, and want to move to PE ASAP through off-cycle recruiting.
Will it benefit me switch to investment banking, and then immediately reach out to head hunters? (optimally staying in investment banking <6 months)
