They've absolutely crushed it from a returns perspective and are very difficult for LPs to access now given demand. They promote from within, and two of their current VPs started as Associates. It's a small team and they're only on Fund III so there's a huge amount of upside if they can keep generating the same performance they've had so far.

Will contribute what I know:

  • Focus on media / comms, less so software; founder runs Take-2 (2K, GTA, etc), so that's pretty cool
  • Highly operationally-focused (no port ops team), so large exposure to PortCos - usually signals worse WLB
  • Very low observed turnover, most VPs were promoted internally, usually a good signal for WLB

Others can offer more direct stuff, but it's a smaller shop so I doubt you get too much here

Worked with them recently on the sell side. Overall, I had a pretty good experience working with them and got to know their team pretty well. Most of what was already commented is true from my perspective

Generally more the latter than the former. Of course there’s instances where late night requests happen but the deal team I worked with were pretty down to earth people compared to other sponsors I’ve worked with. This was really evident when I met them all in person
