Best RE masters straight out of undergrad: Cornell, Columbia
Hello all, I recently just got accepted to Cornell’s MPSRE and Columbias MSRED. I would be coming straight out of undergrad (in my sr yr at ucla studying economics), and would love Columbia (1yr program) but worry it is worse for placement for someone with no full time industry experience as opposed to Cornell’s, which is 2 yrs & a mandatory internship. Any thoughts here or broader about the two programs would be greatly appreciated!!

Cornell MPSRE
Key Considerations for You
If you're confident in your ability to network aggressively and secure opportunities despite limited experience, Columbia could be a great choice. However, if you want a more structured path with built-in experience (internship) and a bit more time to develop your skills, Cornell might be the better fit.

Cornell due to internship. I think timing of the market may also play into your favor. This is coming from a Columbia msred grad. Great program, but you need to notches in the belt.
Understood, thank you sm for the response
Cornell by far. The curriculum/education and professional resources are much more vast than Columbia's MRED. The internship year is massive as well, especially given you're not going in with prior work experience to leverage.
Makes sense. Really appreciate the insight
