Cushman Wakefield analyst

Hey there I spoke with a talent acquisition manager for cushman for either a analyst role for an institutional team or a associate role for a middle market. What do the interview process look like for these roles and is there an exam for the analyst to test excel proficiency. Also does anyone have any insight on what compensation is for both roles. Cheers!

It won't be a standardized interview across the company, it depends on which office and which team you are interviewing for, so we can't really help you unless somebody is familiar with the exact group you are interviewing with.

For what its worth, If its a relatively entry level analyst role, I would guess the process would be mostly behavioral/fit with a simple modeling test and/or a few simple technical questions thrown in to make sure you have a grasp of the basics.

I used to interview analysts for entry level positions on an institutional IS team and the modeling test I would give would usually be something as simple as this, and I'd tell them not to worry about getting it exactly 100% right and to make some guesses if they need to as long as they can still walk me through it once they finish.

Building total gross potential rent is $10,000 and grows 3% per year

General vacancy is 5% every year

Operating Expense Ratio is 30% every year

Acquired today for a 5% cap rate and sold at the end of year 5 for a 5.25% cap rate

Acquired using 80% LTV debt, full term interest only, 3% rate

Questions: What was the building acquired for and sold for?  What is the unlevered and levered IRR?  What was the loan amount and the year 1 debt service coverage ratio?

Again, I didn't really care if they got it all right as long as they seemed smart and put in effort to prepare and their mistakes were things that could be quickly learned and fixed on the job.

Also, for anybody thinking that test looks too easy, but you would be shocked by the number of people with great resumes and masters degrees that would sit there staring at a blank screen with no idea where to even start.  I think a lot of people just straight up lied about their past experience.
