Family Office Recruiting/Prospects

What up primates, currently an analyst at a REPE interested in family offices. I see them all over this thread and yet don’t know anything about them. How does one approach finding these jobs? Is it only possible through a recruiter? I tried doing a quick google search and couldn’t really find any sort of list of firms that invest in RE, does anyone have a list or a few examples? Seems like pay/work life balance can be pretty solid in these roles, but I don’t get how people find them and a few times I’ll see people list their role on LinkedIn as like “acquisitions analyst at family office”, is it always like this or are some of them publicly named? When I think of a family office I think of a firm like Pantzer Properties based in NY (small REPE run by brothers) is that an example? Or is it more eyes wide shut secret society vibes?

Family offices are hit and miss.  Some are great, others make tons of promises and deliver very little on those promises.  I would recommend extensive diligence on the family, experience of previous employees, etc.

Appreciate the response. I’ve seen posts saying to do your research, what I’m more so asking is how to actually find those family offices to be able to do the research on them.
