Single People: How much time do you spend going on dates per week?

Just ended a serious relationship couple weeks back and ready to get back into the dating jungle.

How much time do you guys spend going on dates a week? Is anyone out there getting dating fatigue? I've been on a couple since I broke up and already getting tired of disappointments/boring/lame dates. What are some ways to reframe "bad" dates and make it bearable to keep meeting new people.

How are these dates boring and lame? That might be on you as the planner tbh. Try and put yourself in scenarios where you can either escalate, or leave, as quickly as possible if there’s no mutual attraction

I personally feel coffee and dinner dates are boring as hell and come off interview-ish. Do something outdoorsy (doesn’t have to be rock climbing) or after work drinks to loosen up

What? How are drinks a bad first date? This is probably the best first date as 1-2 drinks loosens you both up and it doesn’t cost as much for the guy (vs paying for dinner in a 1st tier city)

Would probably schedule this on a Fri-Sat instead of post work but to each their own

Fuck dates.

This is exactly what I thought you would say Pizz. "Get laid." right?

Honestly the best way to look at it is that it’s either a good date or a good story. After the worst dates I’ve had, I always remember afterwards drinking a cold one while laughing with my friends at how boring she was and how I couldn’t wait to get out of there. It’s all part of life and honestly even a bad date can result in a new perspective or you learning something about someone new.

You're no longer single if you're going on multiple dates with the same person, then you're "dating".

This is false. You can be single and dating. You’re not an item until you have “the talk.”

it depends on my mood. sometimes I spend months without any dates so I can focus on work and my girlfriend and save money cause these dates stack up quickly (~$50 per date, if going every day will cost you $1500 per month). other times I might go 3-5 times a week. fatigue is definitely very real, especially if you hit a row of bad dates when you spend money and time and don't get any ass. it usually ruins morale and leads to bad next dates. so at this point, it's good to take a pause.

What is this the Aldi budget date scene?

More interested, sorry to hijack, but more interested in how much you single guys are spending per date (only 1st dates) and where you're taking these fine ladies. As someone who has been wifed up for years, I'm very curious to know what the "Average" finance guy is dishing out for dates. Feel free to include those you know are going poorly as well as those you know will end exactly as you wanted. Given I haven't been single in over 7 years, I've always wondered what it would take financially to get back out properly these days.

To be clear my lady and I go out but we do what I would consider culinary experiences for the most part (ie. nakazawa / freyo etc) which I would never casually do with some girl I just met.

Probably like 80-100 depending on where you go. I like to do pretty nice cocktails or wine which can be 15-20 bucks each, maybe you have 2 each, can easily be 80+ with tip etc. My friends all spend pretty similar if not more.
