Sponsors/GP Firms in LA?

I am looking to make a move to the West Coast from a sponsor and developer in Texas that focuses on office and industrial development with multifamily sprinkled in. We also I do not see myself fitting into the Institutional fund culture and prefer to be part of a more entrepreneurial firm with a small but robust team. What are some sponsors in LA that have strong deal flow and may fly under the radar unlike a Hines?

What kind of experience do you have and what kind of role are you looking for ?

Are you only looking to work for a developer in LA then?

I have one year as a investment sales broker where I had to build my own book of business and coming up one year as an analyst at a small development shop where most of my time is spent underwriting potential acquisitions and developments and creating materials for investment committee. Also, I have been learning highest and best use for a site, how the city zoning works, and putting together back of the napkin developments on sites we want to pursue. I would say I am not an excel monkey but know how to model well enough but maybe not for a company like Blackstone. My personality is more geared towards a smaller shop where I can eat what I kill while learning a ton. I like the finance side, but I would rather be involved in many moving parts rather than just one.
