Withdrawing from a Study Abroad Class

I am currently studying abroad and decided to take an economics class (minoring in econ) at one of the elite schools (top 10 in Europe) my program partners with. I'm starting to prepare for the final and am realizing I didn't spend enough time studying throughout the semester. The only grade in the class is the final exam which is 4 short essay questions. My grades abroad don't impact my GPA at home but do show up on my transcript. With that said should I withdraw? Or try to pass the final and risk taking a low C, D, or F on the final that will show up on my transcript? My GPA is a 3.6+ and I haven't withdrawn from any other courses, so this is pretty uncharacteristic. Let me know what you guys think, thanks.

Which country is the school located in, and what is the grading scale? I am also at a top EU school, and I just have to score a 2 on a 12 point grading scale. European schools mostly grade based off understanding certain learning objectives stated in the syllabus as opposed to an outright percentage. From what I have heard, it is pretty difficult to not get a passing grade unless you have a non-existent understanding of any of the objectives.

I am in Italy, and the grading scale is out of 30. I have read the book and have a general idea of what is going on, just nervous because having one test be my entire grade, especially one with only 4 questions, is so foreign to me.

do not withdraw. Employees rarely look at transcript grades and largely focus on GPA. Because this doesnt transfer over, you are good either way. They may scan transcript to confirm the numbers match but doubt they will scan through each class.

With that said, put in 100% effort on the final and prepare as much as possible. After submission and before grading, reach out to your profession to explain how much you enjoyed the class while also learning to adapt to a new country. They may or may not be understanding, but will think of you when grading your final.

Thanks, I will definitely reach out to them after the final. I have spent the past couple days studying all day and am feeling more comfortable with the material, I think I will pass the final but knowing that employers will focus more on the GPA makes me feel a lot better. I also feel like I can defend getting a C (if I do poorly) aborad.
