MBA Candidate
I am rewriting my resume, and I wish to include that I will be completing my MBA and Masters in Finance in 2017. How should I word this on my resume, and where should I place it on the resume (top or bottom)?

Depends what sort of jobs you are applying for and where you want the focus to be.
If it's full-time employment to do while you are in school, put the education at the bottom because you want to emphasize your work. If it's for MBA intern/summer associate roles, I would put your education at the top. For the former, you want to show your employer that your work is your #1 priority. For the latter, your educational aspirations are more important.
I would like to respectfully disagree. I would put recent / current school experience up top. The reason being that your recent MBA is a ticket (and currently the most important characteristic about you) to people who are currently engaging in the huge recruiting engine associated with these programs (whether internship or FT). Recruiters for on-cycle MBA programs often look to see if the MBA is there first to pre-qualify you (otherwise you can get auto-dinged into the "blue filing system").
Typical lines I've seen on resumes: MBA, [School Name] - Candidate 2017
I have worked in investment banking for over a year, and am back at school with plans of pivoting into a larger IB or into PE. By updating my resume, I think that I can do just that.
Correct, I should have clarified: If you are applying for jobs to do while you are in school which are not contingent upon your completing the MBA or key to your post-MBA aspirations, then the work experience is more valuable first. I was implying if he's applying for part-time or full-time work just to pay the bills while he's in school that it should be at the bottom. For instance, we had a temp in Corp FP&A working part-time to pay the bills while he was in his program. We didn't give a toss about the MBA in-progress as long as it didn't get in the way of his work. Sure, no one would have dinged him for the education first, but we were much more interested in his prior experience.
