Rising Junior @ Non-Target - Critique my IB SA Resume plz

Please and thank you. I posted on this forum before about listing my college's average student gpa (2.93) but I decided against it. I want to put it in but my resume already seems too "packed" as is.

Also I'm lacking summer internship experience. I haven't been able to find one but I'm still on the search for something from July-August at least. The only corporate experiences I have are "externships" that I received through my alumni contacts and I'm considering taking them off because I'm not sure if they would be professional enough on my resume. I also added the piece at the end about my first year gpa as I went through a hard time with my personal medical issues. I'm not sure if it's something I should keep or leave off. I'll also be applying to a variety of finance positions, as I'm not confident I stand much of chance for IB at this point. However, goal is IB, with either consulting or S&T next best options.

Update: Removed link. THanks

  1. Great job getting that internship with a subpar GPA
  2. Separate your internships from your externships and shit. Basically, make a separate section for internships and for externship/leadership activities. You don't need to write 2-3 bullets for each externships, sometimes an externship is just an externship. --- this is really the most important thing you need to do to fix your resume.
  3. Remove Microsoft Office shit
  4. Skills: etc. Languages: etc. this is to be parallel with Interests: and allows for better clarity.
  5. If you are a varsity athlete, PUT THAT DOWN as a bullet point, probably under leadership. The fact of the matter is you are playing a varsity sport and had a documented medical illness, show that off. You must spend a lot of time in practice, etc. This will help boost your overall resume and counteract your GPA.

Also: is your internship an actual internship? What you make it out to be is an externship. I know this won't matter soon as you will probably be starting and won't be applying anywhere during the summer, but clarify that and clarify your duties.

Thanks for the feedback. The F100 thing is just a formal program that the company hosts every summer than spans June-August, but I would only be heading to the company's headquarters on particular days so I wasn't sure what to call it. Like I said I don't have a summer internship right now but I'm hoping to get something mid-June. Just spoke with a banker in JP Morgan who said he'd pass my resume along to some helpful contacts. Right now I'm working full time.

You misspelled experience. Keep a sharp out for such simple spelling mistakes, they might end up costing you the internship/job.
