3.0 GPA in Math-Econ or 3.7+ GPA in Business Economics?

First year student at a non target looking to possibly transition to math-Econ from bus econ, but I’m not sure if it’ll really be worth it. Do employers really care that much about your major or is your network more significant? Appreciate any input.

Sounds like you go to Uchicago. I promise that the GPA difference will not be that large. I also promise that your life would be much better if you just stick with Business Economics as you will have more flexibility and time to do internships, study abroad, and enjoy your already limited free time. Now if you're passionate about math then go for it, but I promise you it makes a much larger difference to you than anyone else in the end.
