4th Year University of Toronto Student Seeking Advice on Grad Schools!

Hello everyone!

The point of my post is to inquire about my chances about getting into MBA/MFin programs straight out of university with very limited (IE. none) work experience in finance.

I've been researching various programs both in Canada and the US, but I'm not sure if my relatively low GPA will make my application competitive to the top schools. I would appreciate it if you could point me to some great schools that I have a realistic chance of getting into so I can continue my research!

Here are my credentials:
- CGPA: 3.17 with one more year, expect to end up around 3.2 - 3.3 (majoring in Econ)
- GRE: 332 (Quant 170, Verbal 162, Writing 5.5)
- SAT: 2340
- SAT II: Math IIC 770 Chemistry 760 Biology 720
- I'm currently studying WallStreetPrep's premium package if that makes a difference..?

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks!

your GRE should be listed in a out of 170 form, not a total

what kind of university do you attend? are you a URM? a bit more info would be useful

.

I did include the GRE sections separately in brackets, but in the quantitative section I got 170, Verbal 162, and Writing 5.5. I attend the University of Toronto which is one of the top schools in Canada. I'm not sure what an URM is though..

i'm pretty sure GREs are expressed as a total score these days... well, i guess that's my mistake

anyway, URM means underrepresented minority (black, hispanic, first nation) im very familiar with UT, but i'm not sure i would qualify it as a top school pretty sure in canada, you rank on program, not alma mater (eg. waterloo comp eng. > UBC arts)

i would encourage you to apply to the traditional set of MFin programs, as your standardized testing is quite good i think you have a decent shot talk to ANT about this for more info
