As Accurate as Possible - European Undergraduate Business School Ranking
Hello Guys,
I have seen some completely crazy rankings for undergraduate business school in Europe (would be totally different at the master level), so I thought is was absolutely necessary to create one that makes sense at least for me. I hope it can help future applicants (also in the next few years) apply to Biz School in an easier manner. Peace and let me know what you think :)
Level Superior
Oxford
LSE
Bocconi
HSG
Warwick
RSM
Level Good
ICADE
UCL
ESADE
SSE
Manheim
CBS
KCL
Imperial (new course next year no one knows its value...)
Level Alright
ESSEC
WHU
ESCP
IE (crazy expensive)
WU Vienna
Aalto business school
BI Norwegian Business School
Universidad de Navarra
Level "OKish"
EBS
Nova
Bayes
EmLyon
EDHEC
Good luck!
Does Audencia fit into anyone of these categories?.(PS: Audencia is a French Business School and a Grande Ecole)
I would say it fits the last category
Would you say its on par with EmLyon and Edhec?
For their BBA they are not among the best at all... but to compare would say EM Lyon is better
Spotted the Warwick kid
I swear no
Spotted the Bocconi Kid should be apt
ICADE is better than IE for undergraduate.
True 100%
HEC???
does not have a bachelor ;)
Edit: Now HEC Paris has one (with Bocconi) but it will take a lot of time to reach the top (also considering it is a small program)... Which also entails small number of alumni over time... !!
I know how much you hate French BBA but you cannot not put ESSEC BBA in here (guess it is just a forget) especially if you rank ESCP/EDHEC/EMLyon.
Also think you are missing some UK schools (UCL/KCL/Imperial). Might be worth to precise if you are talking about undegrade diploma on its own are overall opportunities including being target for Msc recruiters
Added ESSEC but france is more tailored to prepa + grande ecole. Sad thing alumni from grande ecole won't treat you with the same respect.... Terrible even if you ask me...
IDK man, coming from EDHEC BBA I felt like you but I actually have quite a lot grande ecole alumni reaching to me (might be biased as I have decent internships). Except for the PAI-like highly elitist places I think things are moving forward regarding the recognition of BBA (not sure if it is deserved when you see the number of dummies getting through)
on its own
ICADE is better than ESADE for undergraduate
I dont the school enough but I believe this is right so I just changed it :)
*know
BBA here, would be better that you go somewhere else and go HEC GE for master, otherwise London is no brainer
which bachelor in london are you recommending apart from LSE?
Sry what i was referring was more like the general UK unis, if you are targeting a quick path to your career.
Maybe also look at the Germans (Goethe, FS, good bac profiles i have seen from there, but Frankfurt is fcing boring).
However I do not regret my choice of BBA, life in Paris/France was great, same with London, and you would never find this in Frankfurt.
Universidad de Navarra in Spain?
not a bad degree will add it :)
The trouble with these rankings is that no one ever explains what criteria are used. LinkedIn BB placements? In which city? QS rankings? Word of mouth? There's too much subjectivity going on. I don't disagree with all, but Warwick and RSM are not above UCL and ESADE. Manheim in the same bracket as Imperial and KCL is nuts. I'd also reckon that EDHEC places more people in MBB and IB (at least in major European cities like London, Paris and Milan) than BI.
First, and most importantly we are talking about the BBA or BSc in business administration/economics/management depending on the school you mention. There are no ranking for undergraduate business schools so it has to be word of mouth and experience on the field. UCL is not really a management and therefore not even sure it makes sense to include them in this ranking as with Imperial (much more STEM focused). ESADE is good but more for their master in finance, with regards to their BBA both Warwick and RSM bachelor students place much better. Manheim is a solid school in undergrad, much less though at master level. EDHEC BBA doesn't place even one in MBB and IB (even their GE program they would place just a few...).
Another bad ranking, just what this website needed. Hope you enjoyed Coventry and Leamington Spa kid
Let me also do a prediction, I think you did a french BBA and are not happy that I put them among the lower... sorry but its true ;)
*lowest
Your predictions are as good as your rankings: I am not French (thank god for that) and actually had a proper education by going through STEM studies rather than whatever the fuck a BBA even is
If you are an international student (non-EU national) then this list is not accurate. It will be completely a different ball game for international students.
Why are you talking about fees (so cheaper unis go higher)?
and here it is mainly reputation at bachelor level
If this list is mainly on the basis of reputation, then it is fine. EU schools (non-UK) with international students' profiles will have a lower chance in the UK compared to EU nationals. It will be very much dependent on the location for example if you are studying in France and trying to recruit in France then going to grande ecole makes sense but you will not stand the same chance in the UK considering you will be requiring sponsorship plus you do not speak an european language fluently.
Again, here we go BOIB_1 the kid with zero knowledge of the subject other than being a keyboard warrior trying to justify his school by putting others down. If you need his rankings to make a decision, you already lost. Forget about this knucklehead.
please tell me what i did wrong?
His ranking is actually very consistent with the perception in IB, at least in London and Paris (I don't know about other markets).
I just think he's overestimating RSM and Warwick a bit, which I'd place just one tier below.
You probably come from a French BBA, as I do, but I can assure you that it's not considered a "top" undergrad in London or Paris.
Let’s be honest here…Warwick and RSM are not in the same tier as the others…..Kids is a Warwick grad trying to justify his inability to get in elsewhere.
Besides, his original rankings were not about perception of IBs….he was ranking Euro undergraduate programs in Business…there is a heck of a lot more than IB perception to rank an undergrad program…and like it or not, the MBA/MIM/other master degrees at these schools do affect the way employers view their undergrads……..my kid and nephew, both Americans, went to ESCP. I cant speak for every graduate…but son was at McKinsey and then LSE and nephew is now at UBS….
Agree with French Monkey RSM and Warwick should go one lower but can't edit the original post.
Hi! I've been admitted to ESSEC's BBA programme, along with SSE and RSM. As someone who's done a BBA in France would you advise me to go to ESSEC or the other two schools instead? Thanks in advance.
Hey, what's your opinion of UC3M?
Overall a positive impression. Much better priced than other Spanish unis. Would recommend if you want to live there afterwards :)
Do you think it's better to go to CUNEF(I qualify for all possible financial aid) or UC3M? And I don't think I plan to live in Madrid later on..
SSE > RSM
no its not at bachelor level
EDHEC and EML in Financial markets it's good even in IB. not okish...
we are talking bba here...
My Baaad sorry lol, but yes not at all, the EDHEC BBA is close to that of ESSEC I know friends at ESSEC BBA btw ;)
So yes, with all respect EDHEC BBA should be ranked as good and not okish imo..
how dafuq is ie expensive? oxford n lse are way more expensive than ie. and how is rsm higher than ie? rsm is good but if ur on a 15.000€> budget.
Sorry but what a retarded comment to stay polite. How can you compare IE to Oxford and LSE???? Oxford and LSE are some of the best universities in the world while IE is a uni where you simply pay to get your diploma. For Oxford or LSE, of course it is worth paying 100k+. On your second comment, RSM has a way better reputation than IE plus is more than 15 times cheaper....
acc ur right. it was a shit example to compare lse and oxford. ie is more comparable to kcl and a step above warwick. both of them charge £30.000+ per annum for intls, whereas ie is 25.000€ per annum and its the same for intls and home/eu students. yet both are above ie on the tier list.
What about ESE AND EUR ( Erasmus school of economics and Erasmus University Rotterdam)?
It's solid but not in superior level like RSM in the good category, the one just below. EUR comprises of ESE and RSM so does not make sense to rank the uni as a whole.
Is ICADE really a strong university?
Has icade a good reputation in London? How is the ICADE alumni network in the IB field? Which is the strongest course to do in icade?
Sorry for so many questions, but I want to go to ICADE and my dream is IB.
ICADE is a spanish school so it's network will be mostly there. I doubt it has a strong network in London... but does not mean it is bad or a not worth it :)
I heard some people that say ICADE has a strong alumni network in JPM London. Do you know something?
From what I have read, ICADE is particularly strong at the undergraduate level. For Madrid recruiting it's the best and I've seen people place into London without a masters. It wouldn't be as strong as other options but it's still doable, especially if you are Spanish
Yes, it is the best/strongest in Madrid that's for sure!
For undergrad, if you want the academic + real world application experience + network combo, definitely Oxford/LSE
For sure
Why do people do this shit? Get a life. It'It's always biased by where all of you went to uni. Apply to a BB or EB, and then you will see where your uni ranks. You'You're wasting your lives writing this, whilst working for MDs who went to super non-non-targets lol.
