Background checks and which schools to apply to

  1. I always see NUMBERS that go into tech or private equity, what percent of grads are the highest at Big 4 tech (FB Google Amazon Microsoft)? It's hard to tell WHERE to apply to if my goal is say Google or FB or MS. I really dont feel like applying to more than 3 maybe 4 schools.

  2. Let's say I fail a re vera background check this year, if I apply in two years to a different set of schools, but schools that aslso use re vera, how will this affect a background check? Result in an automatic denial? From what I undersatnd schools can't share info with each other over an applicant and typically only the school you deposit at shares the info for the background check?

  3. I plan on applying legit, but am curious about the background check. When/if I get an admit, down the line when I'm applying for internships and FTOs will my work history be checked, what if I mark my dad's business down for a leg up during either of these stages (so I sweeten my resume AFTER an admit), if an on campus recruiter sees my resume with an additional job I didn't have when applying, will I get kicked out?

Hi Matthew Martoma. Wassup brah?!!

lol be truthful and honest and apply to 3 categories of schools ie Reaches, Matches, & Safeties. Don't apply to all reaches. 2 in each category is enough. Secondly, be honest about who you are and you will surely pass any background check

people are assuming i'm dumb enough to lie. iam not. however it's interesting to get rid of all the smoke and snake oil regarding background checks and how they work. i find the lack of transparency the bigger issue
