Bocconi Vs. EDHEC Vs. ESCP
Hi everyone!
I have to choose among MSc in Finance at Bocconi, MiM Financial Economics at EDHEC and MiM at ESCP.
Given that I would like to work in Corporate Finance either in Paris or Milan, I don't know which to choose.
Bocconi's master is highly ranked and has a great name in Italy, but it would be taught in Italian, while I completed my BSc in Economics and Finance completely in English, so I fear I might have troubles in studying financial courses in another language, even I speak it natively.
Regarding the two French schools, they're both very high ranked, especially EDHEC for finance, and probable a better placement in Paris, but I'm afraid that if I decided to work in Milan I might be disadvantaged with respect to Bocconi students.
What do you think?
Thanks!
You are basically stating that you fear to attend a programme in Italian and that your native language is Italian. Find a good doctor lad
I know but I've been studying in English for all my university career and I've already talked to some people who had troubles in readjusting and going back to courses taught in Italian. I am afraid of that, especially because the Bocconi MSc in Finance is quite challenging.
Trust me: it is not a problem to switch. Italian is still your native language, you just have to learn some specific terms. It would be a problem maybe if you had to do oral exam but, as far as I am aware, there are not oral test in the programme you mentioned. Maybe some projects, group discussions etc. but it is not a big deal. Go for it!
MSc Finance at Bocconi is miles above other programs. Especially ESCP's MiM
What about EDHEC? I mean it's true the business school itself is not top tier, but for finance they've been getting a top ranking for the last 4/5 years.
