Can I get into Top UK Msc from a law undergrad?

Hey everyone, I’m seeking advice on UK Msc Finance programs. I’m currently in my second year of law (LLB) at one of KCL/Bristol/Nottingham and will graduate next year. I’ve completed an in-semester LMM PE internship, spent my first summer doing M&A at a tiny boutique, and this summer I’m doing IB at a small shop without a path to a return offer. I also have middle/back office internship experience at a reputable SWF. Before my undergrad I spent 1.5 years doing unrelated legal/paralegal work after high school while playing a sport professionally in the EU. However, I quickly realized once I enrolled in my law degree that I wanted to pivot to IB/PE/Markets etc. I’m curious about my path to a top MSc Finance in the UK with a non-finance or math background. I’m on track for a 2:1, so Oxford MFE is unlikely, leaving me focused on LSE, Imperial, and LBS. My concern is the ‘quantitative background’ requirement that these programs have, which my LLB does not showcase. For example, Imperial states this is necessary for their MSc Finance and Finance & Accounting programs. How flexible are they with admitting students from humanities backgrounds? If I’ve demonstrated quantitative skills through internships (IB/PE) or a GMAT, is that enough? If my less quantitative undergrad is a barrier, should I consider MiM programs instead? I’m more interested in IB/PE/ER/S&T than consulting. Can anyone share recent placements from the MiM programs at these three schools into front office finance roles in London? In short, a) can I get into top UK Msc Finance programs with a law undergrad degree b) if so, what are my chances c) if i can’t, is pivoting to top MiM programs worth it for FO finance roles P.S work visa is not an issue for me in UK so that’s a barrier I fortunately can avoid

Yeah. Not sure I've seen law but there's a girl with a student profile at LBS MFA2024 who did a tourism undergrad, was also on the ig recently.
Your intern experience is good so well compensates for that.
I agree MFE might be a shot off, but again as you say GMAT (especially) and maybe work exp will help ut for those other programs.

I don't think you need to bother with MiM, just go get a good gmat score

Thanks for this - when you say MiM isn’t worth targeting, is that just because the placement into IB/PE is limited by nature of it being a consulting focused degree or more because you think I have a decent shot at the Msc Finance degree (with a good GMAT ofc)?

Imperial overwhelmingly admits econ/STEM students for the MFin so that's out of the question - should be fine for F&A though. LBS is achievable with relevant work experience and a semi-decent GMAT. Can't comment on LSE, but it focuses on academics quite a bit, so I imagine it would be somewhat tougher (though a high GMAT would go a long way in proving quantitative ability).

To infinity... and beyond!

Thanks, that was in line with what i’ve came across on LinkedIn re: imperial MFin being mostly STEM students. Is the F&A course that much more lenient? LBS certainly seems like my best and most viable option considering it focuses 100% on corporate finance (no markets = less math?), would you say my profile is competitive? On the LSE front, i’d probably target their F&A program based on what you’re saying but also apply to F anyways (LSE lets you apply to 2 I believe)
