(CUNY) any preference between Baruch College and Queens College?

hi monkeys

Here is my situation. I am enrolled in a community college in NYC. Once, I wanted to transfer to Baruch but denied. (to submit again, I have to wait one semester more)

I am accepted to Queens College in the fall semester of 2012. and after one year, I will transfer to target schools like Wharton. I do not want to waste my time in a Community College. What do you think of?

Do I have to wait more? or transfer as soon as possible?

Get good grades, ECs, work exp if you can, and apply to Wharton. It doesn't matter if you go in now or next year, you will graduate from the school you transfer to and that's really more important. Think long term.

Based on the fact that Baruch pretty much accepts anyone with a 3.0 as a transfer student, I'm gonna say Wharton isn't happening. Also keep in mind, that in order to get into most target schools, even if you have a 4.0 GPA, they're still gonna need to see your SAT scores.

Baruch requires a minimum of 3.3-3.5 with a good HS background and SATs. Wharton requires a 3.8+, ECs,, killer standardized test scores/ HS GPA. See what I'm getting at here?

Try for Baruch again next semester -- there is little-to-no benefit in going to Queens College over your CC. At least this way, you have a solid back up plan if you don't get into a 'target school.'

Not to shit on you buddy, but there's no way you can go from Queens to Wharton. It may be easier transferring from Queens to Baruch however. PM me.
