Deferred MBA Thread

Wanted to start a thread for those who applied for deferred MBA's this cycle. Of the 10 schools that offer deferred MBA's I've only heard back from 2.

Stanford GSB - Heard interviews were being rolled out. Haven't been rejected or sent an invite for an interview
HBS 2+2 - No news
Wharton - No news
Kellogg - No News
UChicago Booth - Rejected
MIT - No News
CBS - No News
UVA Darden - Received invite for interview
Berkeley Haas - No News
Yale SOM - Did not apply.

Invites are all coming out on a fixed date for HBS and Wharton

I’m applying to these next year, but I was wondering if you could add some personal hard stats eg. GMAT/ GRE? Just a thought for adding more context

thanks for starting this thread. applied to 6 schools (non-target undergrad w/ 3.97 gpa & 740 gmat, incoming summer analyst in mm peag group)

Carnegie Mellon Tepper- interview done.

UVA Darden- interview done.

Chicago Booth-interview this week w/ alum

Columbia-nothing yet

Wharton-nothing yet (May 25 decision date)

Harvard-nothing yet

I got interviews from GSB and Booth deferred programs so far (ignore the title). I'd be the happiest kid in the world if I could get into GSB!

Hi! Thanks for starting this thread. I’m a 2+2 applicant and applied to Stanford, Harvard, and Wharton. I received an interview at Stanford (the wait is killing me) and am waiting on HBS and Wharton.

Maybe it is just me, but I feel like I’ve heard of very few deferred applicants getting interviews at GSB so far. Maybe they are waiting to send more out? Or maybe people aren’t posting. What do you guys think?

They're only giving 60 or so interview invites. You wouldn't expect to hear about a lot of people getting them. You're already in a great place - good luck!

Booth - Interview on campus

Sloan - Interview virtually (no option for on campus)

Wharton - No word (May 25th is the date interviews come out)

HBS - No word

GSB - No word / rejected (since some people have already gotten interviews, assuming I have been rejected)

Profile: incoming IB analyst at a top bank, 85% GRE/GMAT, T50 with full ride - GPA 3.95. X-factor is that I will be working on building out my firm's disability employee resource group (similar to how there are ERG or affinity networks for LGBT+, black, hispanic, etc).

Have received additional rejections from Columbia and MIT so far. Safe to say I think I struck out from all of the schools except for UVA. Had a very high gpa and was very confident in my essays and letters of recommendation which makes me think that my GRE score was what held me back.

How likely am I to get a HBS interview if I got dinged from Wharton and GSB but interviews at Booth and Sloan? My guess is 30% on the high side

Did my Darden interview a while ago  and waiting to hear the decision next week. Preparing for my Wharton interview. Those were my only 2 apps.

Should’ve applied to GSB/CBS at this rate. Dad is an alum at the latter and he donates lol.

Edit: throw MS all you want lol
