Interviewers don’t ask for your SAT. I’ve seen a handful of applications that do ask
Haha yeah I saw some posts about it and I was really surprised
They ask when you recruit for PE after your two years in banking so make sure to do well.
BC and Kelley for sure have (relatively) strong IB placement. Idk about NYU non-stern.
Applications will ask for SAT, and some recruiters may ask it in a screening call.

I would add UVA, community college to Berkeley(if in cali), and based off your schools Colgate (if we are counting safeties as ~20% acceptance).
Also I can't believe I am going to say this but if you are truly high caliber student- Cornell. Their acceptance rate has been rising (they didn't even release it this year) but it is probably >16%. It places far better than a school with a 16% acceptance rate should... (keep in mind, schools like Williams, UCLA, USC, are all more selective at ~12%, Cornell probably places better than all of them)...
I'm OOS for UVA and not even the top kids from my school have gotten into it haha, they've gotten really competitive

yeah I'm in-state for Cornell CALS/ILR but i wouldn't call it a safety just yet, but def one of my top targets.
I think you should forget about the safeties for now given how early it is. Semi/non-targets do really poorly for IB placement. Put all your energy into your EA/ED school and make sure you don’t waste it.

Not a Cornell student, but did a quick check and I think your numbers are wrong. Last figure I see from Cornell is 10%? The other schools are definitely easier to get into still from an acceptance rate and SAT/ACT perspective.

I mean yeah, but Cornell Dyson is way more competitive and literally has a ~3% acceptance rate. Solid school (wouldn't go there for personal reasons), but I don't think the whole institution has fallen at the rate you're claiming. An ivy still isn't a safety for anyone.

Absolutely not true about Cornell. Their lowest acceptance rate was class22, then rose a bit for class’23 and fell back down for class 24. It is released and easily found in google search. Cornell’s acceptance is close to 10 percent. They actually did better than any other ivy in terms of difference in acceptance rate from last year. It would be foolish to think Cornell is a safety regardless of major.
Hey, I'm in state Cali and the CC-Berkeley route seems very appealing to me for a variety of reasons. I always figured it wouldn't work since I wouldn't be able to get internships out of a CC. If you don't mind, could you share any knowledge you have on the matter?
I know this isn’t what you asked, but I’ll tell you right now, if you go to Cornell, BC, Lehigh, UVA, do well and look presentable in a suit, and have a good personality, you’ll get a serious look from a private bank. Nice entry for analysts 90+
Why NYU over stern? Nyu may be easier to get into than stern, so that could make sense. Not sure about nyu placement but I know stern is very strong. Being in new york helps a ton with networking coffee chats and internships during the school year, so nyu is a good option even if not stern, just statistically stern places better.
Because OP is looking for schools with a higher chance of admission and stern is hard to get into

I'm applying to Stern, but NYU will defer you to one of their other schools if you get denied by Stern.

LOL UCB/UVA/WUSTL/Georgetown are not safeties and at least two of those schools are top targets for investment banking (I'll let you guess which ones).

IU Kelley will be the best safety for you. Maybe Binghamton as you're in NY.

Check out Bucknell University, great alumni and has been doing really well recently. They have had great placement in recent years, check the job placement report. Definitely very similar to Colgate.
These answers must be from people that are 30+ that don't understand admissions these days. Unless you go to a feeder prep high school, only Rutgers and IU are real safeties even with great stats and everything else. The rest(Lehigh, BC, NYU) are matches at best and LOL to whoever said a 15% acceptance rate (Cornell) is high enough to be a safety now.
Yeah for sure, these schools aren't safeties at all--I just got lucky with my high school so they are safeties for me. I definitely should have mentioned that in the post.
