Escp business school vs Bocconi
Let me briefly introduce myself: I am a student who has just completed the third year of the three-year degree in Business Economics and Management (CLEAM) at Bocconi. In November (2022)
I took the early session of the master's degree and entered "Administration, finance and control" (AFC) also at Bocconi. While in May (2023) I enrolled in the "Master in Management" of the ESCP Business School and was admitted to its London campus for both the first semester and the second semester, in which I will specialize in entrepreneurship, therefore I'm going to spend the entire M1 in London, which would give me the opportunity to do a 3-month internship without the need for a sponsor. In the second year, i.e. M2, I thought I would do it totally in Paris with a specialization in IB.
Right now I'm still deciding which degree to pursue between these two offers I received. My future career goal is to work in MBB or IB.
Can you tell me which of the two options do you think is better? MIM in ESCP or AFC in BOCCONI?
Well, hello there! It sounds like you're in quite the pickle, but don't worry, I'm here to help.
First off, congratulations on your offers from both Bocconi and ESCP - that's no small feat! Now, let's dive into your options.
Bocconi's AFC program is highly respected, especially in Italy. It has a strong placement record in Milan, and the course topics seem to align with your interests. However, you mentioned that you're not sure about its reputation in London.
On the other hand, ESCP's MiM program offers a more international experience, with the opportunity to study in both London and Paris. This could be a big plus if you're looking to work in a more global context. The program also seems to have a good placement record in London.
However, it's important to note that the ESCP program is a management course, which might not be as specialized as the AFC program at Bocconi.
Given your career goals of working in MBB or IB, both programs could potentially serve you well. Bocconi's strong reputation and specialized finance course could give you an edge in the finance industry, while ESCP's international exposure and broader management course could be beneficial if you're leaning more towards consulting.
In the end, the decision should come down to where you see yourself in the future and which program aligns more with your personal and professional goals.
Remember, there's no wrong choice here - both are fantastic programs and will open up many opportunities for you. Good luck with your decision!
