EUR: MSc Econometrics and Management Science, sp. in Quantitative Finance?

Hello guys, what can you tell me about this MSc? Does it worth it? Well regarded? Semi-target maybe?

Here is the link to the program:

Thanks for your input!

it is quantitative and not very difficult, but nothing more than that, it has no real Prestige or anything similar, i would recommend a more prestigious University, preferably in the UK, France- HEC or bocconi-Italy

Why do you want a quantitative degree? If you're aiming to get into a Finance/Econ PhD afterwards, I'd recommend CEMFI, BSGE, etc. If you're aiming for the private sector though, none of those will carry too much weight, though they send the occasional student to top strategy and (mainly) economic consulting firms.

In terms of cheap programs, Bocconi has the merit award, SSE has a full ride for non-EUs (only two, though), St. Gallen is circa 6000 USD a year, RSM has scholarships, University of Mannheim is free, and Norwegian School of Economics is free.

I am currently pursuing the CFA, going for a MSc in Finance looks redundant to me. My objective is to work in London after the MSc in the private sector (Banks mostly), in the long term I'd like to end up in PE/VC/AM. For the short/medium term I am interested in S&T as well as IB.

Thanks a lot guys.

I know a lot of people who did this program and even though it's not under RSM it's very highly regarded. A lot of people break into consulting or banking in The Netherlands and I know a few people that ended up in the city. You still have access to all the erasmus recruiting events, they don't come specifically to RSM but to Erasmus as a whole I believe.

@iloveburritos Thanks a lot a for your answer, it was really helpful for me, really!

I hope more of you guys can give me more opinions!

By the way, do you know where I can find a database specific for this master? I tried LinkedIn, but I can only see students by University and not by MSc...

I don't know of any database, but I don't go to Erasmus so no that certain if one exists. Yeah Linkedin can be hard sometimes, what helps me is searching in Google, then most of the time profiles will pop up.
