Finance to Accounting Switch

Hello Fellow Monkeys,

I wanted to gain some information; I have a finance degree from a non-target school. Realizing that I would not land the top banking job; I want to gain some more insight on landing a degree in accounting. If anyone in the same situation could recommend good programs/ schools and how long it took them with the switch.

Thanks again

Trying to go for my CPA as well- any good programs that would take a finance bachelor and how long would it be is my main questions. Please feel free to tell me your careers stories, thank you!

If you don't want to begin your career in accounting, you should look into Masters in Finance programs. I believe these are generally 1-year.

Villanova MSF program gets a bad rep, but if you're at an average GRE/GMAT score and GPA, they'll still give you a look, and the degree can lead to a valuation/corporate finance/boutique banking position.

Hope this is helpful
