GMAT score for international students

Hi all. I will be taking the GMAT soon and I was wondering whether anyone knows what the minimum score/range of scores top schools look for in international applicants? (Not Asian ofc) Is this different for international applicants that went to undergrad in the U.S.?

(Also international applicant to US M7 MBAs)

Short answer: Shoot for the multiple of 10 just below the given GMAT average score for any given MBA Program (e.g.: if a school has a mean/median GMAT of 727, you should target 720, and so on).

As an international applicant, regardless of ethnic background, you likely won't benefit from typical affirmative action (which US URM tend to generally benefit from).

What could help you though is if people of your citizenship have very extremely rarely attended the school (what they call the 'rare passports').

The "minimum" depends on so many factors that I don' think it's constructive for you to even think about it at this point. Just prepare best you can, do the best you can, and then deal with the results in the context of your qualifications and target programs.

Yes someone can put a number out of the air or suggest a formula, but MBA admissions varies from school to school and your undergrad grades, profession, career progression, geography all play a role.

Good luck with your GMAT!
